Service is one of the founding principles of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and essential for uplifting San Francisco’s disenfranchised populations. Through our sorority’s Z-HOPE program, we have been able to serve some of San Francisco’s most vulnerable residents through diverse initiatives. We also run two youth auxiliary groups, where we teach young ladies how to have pride in themselves and show respect to one another. Our chapter organizes multiple community service events throughout the year, and we often partner with nonprofit organizations that share our values.
Z-HOPE
Zetas Helping Other People Excel was approved at the 2008 National Boule as the National Service Program of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
An interactive holistic multidimensional outreach program designed to enhance, cultivate and empower participants to develop health promoting lifestyle choices across the lifespan. Specific to the population groups; Women, Youth, Seniors, Men, and International Women of Color.
Z-HOPE has been implemented across the United States and in selected International countries. Chapters are encouraged to collaborate with existing community organizations and resources to provide optimal quality programs that provide maximum impact.
Zeta Youth Auxiliaries
Our chapter takes pride in molding youth into confident and strong young women. Through our Pearlette and Archonette groups, we mentor these young ladies and participate in various community service activities. Through these two groups, we have created a safe space for our youth where community, sisterhood, and self-love can thrive. Below are descriptions for both groups.
Archonettes are high school-aged young ladies who demonstrate an interest in the goals and the ideals of scholarship, sisterly love, and community service. Archonette groups are affiliated through local chapters.
Pearlettes are girls ages 4-8 mentored by the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated to become outstanding leaders in their communities.
